Message from Dr. John Ngan :
The world is designed for brother hood - to help and be helped. Man is not intended to live in isolation, cut off from others and their needs. We live together within the same tapestry. We are cut from the same clothe and woven with the same fabric.
In 2003, a 7 year old boy named Jian Chun from an orphanage in Suzhou was brought to my attention. This boy was born with bladder exstrophy, a rare condition and I was trained in
exstrophy repair by a world-renowned expert. In believe of those who have must give
generously and responsibly, while those have not should receive gladly and graciously. Jian Chun received a surgical repair that restored his anatomy, but yet he remained an orphan. However, he became my friend and a lifelong mentor.
China Orphan Outreach is established as a fellowship among willing, capable people and orphans in need. The able provides skills, money and time. The children in need provide a chance for us to appreciate our place in the design of life. Welcome to this fellowship.

Message from Dr. CP Yu :
Medicine and music together traverse the boundaries of science and art. One can treat the body but also heal the spirit; the other can please the ear and nourish the soul.
MedArt began with the share of one passion between several doctors who were also amateur musicians and a number of professional musicians, together we use music as a vehicle to show compassion to the underprivileged. We visited places such as the Cheshire Home, Hope of Haven Nursing Home, Siu Lam and Castle Peak Hospitals, and Stanley, Victoria and Shek Pik Prisons, trying to comfort the confined souls.
Further, MedArt took up a different mission of addressing the needs of orphaned babies with medical condition in China. To date, MedArt volunteers have performed many complex surgical operations to correct deformities such as bladder exstrophy, imperforate anus, hydrocephalus, and myelomeningoceles. These operations took place in Hong Kong, Suzhou and Beijing. The MedArt mission is ongoing and we will need your help in prolonging them.
